5 Things to do in Wilson During Spring Break

- Dig into History: Hampson Archeological Museum
This hidden gem features the archeological findings of Dr. James K. Hampson. At the Hampson Museum, you can view the artifacts found by Dr. Hampson and learn about the culture of the pre-Columbian people who inhabited the Arkansas Delta from 1400-1650 A.D. The Hampson Museum is free and open to the public from Wednesday to Sunday, 8 AM-5 PM. The Museum also offers various classes that expand learning and historical research and a wonderful gift shop full of historic and fun merchandise!
2. Bicycle Rental at the Wilson Outdoor Center
Wilson is an excellent place for a bike ride! Stop by the Wilson Outdoor Center and rent bicycles for you and your kiddos! Enjoy the spring weather and the beautiful terrain. Wilson is an excellent place for novice and advanced cyclists with miles of gravel bike trails – for those looking for a casual, scenic route or those looking for a challenging course. 3. Enjoy the Outdoors: The Grange at Wilson Gardens
This multi-versatile location features garden tours, an on-site bakery, art exhibit, and a retail shop for guests of all ages to enjoy! Stop by and check out the gardens and chicken coop, then enjoy their famous cookies made on site! Their Art Exhibit, located on the mezzanine, features guitar pick artwork created by Jonesboro Artist Jeannie Walsh. Open Monday-Friday 10-5 and Saturday 10-2.
4. Let’s go shopping!
With several unique boutique shops throughout town, Wilson is a great place to find something perfect for yourself or your kids. White’s Mercantile and the Wilson Pharmacy feature home décor, clothing, and children’s toys and books. Tom Beckbe Outfitters offers clothing and accessories for the outdoorsman in your life. Don’t forget about the shops inside the Outdoor Center, Hampson Museum and Grange too!

Grab lunch or dinner at the famous Wilson Café and Tavern. With daily specials and kids’ menus, the Café is the best place to enjoy a bite to eat with your family.
